Seiko Mod Group On FB
Chris suggested I check out the Seiko Mod Group on FB.
Lots of great mods and the chance to make contacts.
For example:
Work by Lyle Krannichfeld
This ones done for now. Ct case, green waffle dial, yobokies hands (lume is a bit off but works with the colors of the build so I’ll leave them). Ct insert, osc knurled bezel, black knurled Sammy crown to match. Ct stealth chapter ring, ct flat flush clear ar crystal and a mankey designs bottle opener army green strap it’s my tactical drinking watch.

Funny "Tactical" story, our ERT (SWAT) Team at work decided that they'll needed matching tactical watches. They approached a local watch company, Momentum Watches to design a VPD ERT Team Watch. They chose black everything, VPD ERT logo, case, dial, hands, date, indexes...very tactical! I laughed when I saw the watch, as you couldn't even read the time. All of the watches were returned, to have the hands swapped out...

I like the black/white day/date set up, I don't think Ive even that before
Re: Seiko Mod Group On FB
That group has gone downhill, unfortunately. They’re extremely tolerant of fake Seiko dials and cases, as well as the companies who make those fakes.

They have. One of those guys in that group is on reddit selling his watches listed as "Seiko's". It took a shit ton of complaining but he finally stopped listing them as Seiko's. They have nothing on them from Seiko. The shitty part is the mods were okay with that.

I've wondered for a long time if that would better balance the dial. Looks really good.rockmastermike wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 8:50 amI like the black/white day/date set up, I don't think Ive even that before
