Yeah this was my original choice but the price kept me from getting it. I should have gotten it when they had the 40% off deal back during their Xmas sale. Maybe they’ll offer it again this year.

Bezels and chapter rings arrived today as did the strap and couple more handsets. I got a pair so I can make another one if I feel the urge. I can officially start the mods now that I have everything to complete one watch. Couple more seconds hands variations and spare dials to come.

Question to the expert Seiko modders here

Are the aftermarket bezels, crystal, and chapter ring swappable from the skx013 to the skx007 ?

I know the dial and handset is but need confirmation on the rest.

I don’t encourage it. I realized if after I made the purchase. And the fake Rolex bracelet was a shock to me as that’s not what was advertised.

But wouldn’t aftermarket bezels and chapter rings, handsets etc and now the skx cases that all these mod shops offer - doesn’t that classify as the same tho ?

I only plan on doing 2 skx013 watch mods, both the same with the exception of a different coloured seconds hand. Got genuine handsets incoming (hour and min hands)

Noted. In my mind whether labelled or not if it’s the same part it’s a knockoff in my books also. Same shit goes on in the auto aftermarket as well. My brother has designed and created shit that was straight up copied and sold by other shops as their own.

The big reveal !

My first Seiko mod and I fukin’ love it !

What a fucking beauty !!! I’m stoked how it came out and how nice it looks. What a transformation!

One issue is that the guy who sold me the handset sent two different colours

one polished and one white. I messaged him and he will send me a matching one. I’m gonna do the white instead of polished. So for now I’ll enjoy the hell out of and swap out the minute hand when it arrives.

What do you guys think ?

My second skx013 arrived today and that’s going in on Monday for its sex-change
