I’d love to sit in Seiko Product Strategy zoom calls. They’re probably all yelling “Motto! Motto!”

New Tuna

Don't suppose anyone knows if that is a new bracelet, or still the same one from the sbbn33?
Looks the same to me. The bracelets are my only issues with the newest 300M Tuna line. The SBBN015 Tuna had one of the best bracelets that Seiko has put on a dive watch. Regardless, Tuna's are great strap/NATO watches.
I'm glad the new one is available on rubber with the black bezel. Now I just need to come to terms with the price increase and get another Tuna.

For me the tuna handset is a no-go. Too massive. Reminds me on Citizen Promasters 90s lineup (worked there but not on a tuna). The only impprovent is sapphire and that costs way too much. I think new crystals are arrount 250 so it would be better to get an original crystal and install it on some previous gen. Still cheaper and better looking

More info on the new 1959 Alpinists set to come out later this year (one LE, already pictured above, and three regular). The pricing on the LE is...aggressive. But I'm sure it will sell.

O.K. have a few more limited editions you might have seen.

This time Seiko has several collections that help to celebrate their
140th Anniversary. Including Prospex, Presage, Astron, and Seiko
5 collections too.

I know we talked about the First Diver's Re-interpretation already.
But am not sure we touched on the Presage Sharp Edged series,
which has a 42.2mm stainless steel case, 100m WR, sapphire crystals,
eye-catching dials with their Lumibrite coating on the markers, and
hands, nice bracelet, and 6R64 movement.

Image

Next, the Astron Solar Dual Time celebrates with a 42.7mm stainless
steel case, and bracelet with super hard coating, 100m WR, sapphire
crystal, nice silver dials Lumibrite hands, and markers, and Caliber 5X53.

Image

Last but not least, is the new Seiko 5 Sports diver with 42.5mm
stainless steel case, 100m WR, a Hardlex crystal, silver dials with
Lumibrite covered hands, and markers, Caliber 4R36 movement,
and stainless steel bracelet also.

Me too. I contacted my Seiko AD the minute I saw it. Not many white dial divers out there, and having a SPB149 already I know the fit is perfect for me.

Nice size but I'm not sure what's more ridiculous: the stupid maxipad strap or the price.

At least it looks like they designed the strap so you can lose the bund feature pretty easily and just wear it on the leather strap without it. I don't know enough about Seiko movements to say whether and how a 6L35 is better than a 6R35 (but the 6R35 has a longer power reserve). I do like the look of the watch itself, and I get that it's a LE, but the price is too high for me. But I'm sure there are enough Alpinist fanatics out there who will pay.

Did we touch on these everyone? Just seeing these new Prospex Street S
afari Steel Automatic, and Solar Divers.

Looks like all the watches have 200m WR, Hardlex crystals, along with
eye-catching sunray blue, and green dial with Lumibrite coated hands,
and markers. Plus dual color diver's bezels. But the automatic models
have 44mm cases, and the solar models have 40.4mm cases. With straps
being a sporty rubber, and movements being the Caliber 4R35, or Caliber
V131 beneath things.

P.S. guys, it looks like these are JDM only as of right now.

Here is a look...

Disagree.

Of course there's some models I'd never consider -- like the solar divers above -- but the SPB117 and SPB143 are fantastic watches. My SPB143 has not come off my wrist since December.

I'd love to try the SPB187 soon.
