SBP151 Willard watch head weighs 83g without spring bars.

Here's the watch on MM300 strap as promised. Love it!
Killer combo! Love the MM300 strap.
This watch is probably as close as Seiko has come to replicating one of their classic dive watch designs in a regular production piece. Tremendous. I keep saying I don't want one, but I kinda want one.
The MM300 strap was made for this watch. I didn’t care for it as much on the MM300.

I forgot how nice the MM300 strap is in that it doesn’t have a skin-biting metal keeper.
OK - Willard for me next. I have my almost 10 year old virgin MM300 rubber strap waiting for it.

Killer combo

Design wise the MM300 strap Is my favorite 20mm strap.

This BC 400 strap looks pretty good on the 149.

83g is pretty darn good for a cushion case that sits well.

Impressions of the 400? Been thinking about picking up another 300, and snagging a 400 as well.

It’s not mine. I’m pretty sure it’s only the clasp that is different. The strap in the photo looks to have a carbon pattern, also.

Green landed today and it is a winner!

Not sure which I like best. I do like the Green's half brushed:half polished hands better and confirm they are different than the all polished hands of the black version.

Not sure I like the OEM rubber strap... It seems VERY comfortable so far, and no metal keeper wrist bite to boot (YET), but seems a bit boring for the watch. The grip of the rubber tends to keep the watch center on the wrist whereas the MM300 strap does not unless you tighten it down well.

I can also 98% confirm it's a match of what the SARB017 green sunburst dial was from memory. I didn't care for that dial having flipped the SARB017 the day it arrived, but the contrast of the green bezel on the willard make it a lot better. Also, I bought the SARB017 thinking it was going to be a vivid emerald green when it was more olive, and bought this thinking it would be the same as the SARB017.

The more that I see the green, the more I want it. The black dial is typical Seiko in a good way and the green just has more pop. That and the MM300 strap would be perfect.

Yeah the green is where it's at, especially if you liked the brushed contrast of the MM300 hands. It's a really nice touch.

And as others mentioned it appears dark indoors. Can't wait to try it on a sunny day not filled with California fire smoke :raised:

New Seiko Thread

In case anybody was wondering, here it is on Isofrane.

I wish they made an Isofrane with the buckle end being maybe 15-20mm longer, so it would be more centered.

Since both the original 6105 and the original Isofrane were both around in 1968, I thought this combo might work.

Thoughts?

Agree 100%
Seeing them and trying them on at the same time the black was underwhelming. Basically looked like a $200 srp777. The green is on another level.

I'm strange I guess, but I don't look twice at the green, but the black will be mine. I'm not a green watch fan, though.

I really like this new version but can’t do that price. I’ll stick with my sawtooth tunas for the time being.

That's expensive! I paid for $800 for the sbbn031 on bracelet. Shit I remember when I bought the sbbn007 for $450 used back in the day.

Looks good, but not so that I'd sell my 017 and spend a bunch of money to get this :)
