New Seiko Thread
Re: New Seiko Thread
Someone in OZ is posting pics of his capt. Willard on wus and the new 6r35 62mas is showing up as well. Shouldn’t be long until we start seeing them.
Sure hope Topper calls me soon.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Welp, today was supposed to be shipping day for my 6105 reissue, but my AD is still not shipping to the US, so I guess I'm out for now. I'll grab a used one later.

Any US dealers discount these?

When is EMS supposed to start shipping? I’ve gone to their website but haven’t been able to see any info on the subject.

I got a quote from him too and it was considerably less than Topper.

Here are a few real world shots of my green/NATO version I received this week:spring-diver wrote:Thanks TomAtomicTom wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 11:32 amspring-diver wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 9:03 pmThis bezel less 5KX looks pretty cool

It really does Shannon, and just wanted to add a few more variations in
that I wasn't sure you, or the guys saw.
I definitely prefer the strap versions with the brushed bezel vs the polished bezels on the bracelet models

Re: New Seiko Thread
I know, and that's the main reason I still buy Seikos from Japan even though they're available here. The exchange rate is no longer a big advantage, but the discount is, and since I tend to be an early buyer on new releases, and also a flipper, buying at full retail is not a good formula.sierra11b wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 10:12 amI got a quote from him too and it was considerably less than Topper.
Re: New Seiko Thread
6105 reissue looks great to me. I don't need one as I now have an MM300 (which I think is going to save me a lot of money on Seiko dive watches ) but I can't wait to see these start to come in.
Re: New Seiko Thread
Can’t wait for those black 6105 reissue to be had at used prices. So nice.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Did anyone catch this new Seiko by chance?
This new Seiko Prospex LX Diver has a 44.8mm titanium case, 300m
WR, sapphire crystal, and neat textured green dial. Which is meant
to look like moss, algae, and bacteria pillars. Known as “kokebozu” at
the bottom of an Antarctic lake. On top of that, you have a titanium
bracelet, and Caliber 5R65 Spring Drive movement.
Some pictures everyone...

^ bring large American dollars.
Re: New Seiko Thread
How about a titanium version of the SBDX001/017 MM300? Sell it for $2k and call it good.
I really want to like this latest version, but $5-6k is hard to swallow.

I’m waiting on this one to hit Seiya or Higuchi. Titanium, about 42.5mm, 200m water resist.

If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
Re: New Seiko Thread
Too funny Todd, and when you put it that way, you can see why so many
watch companies just went with the good old blue wave pattern dials !
Have to say Henry, that is one crazy cool chronograph there you are looking
at sir ! It's traditional from far away, and ultra futuristic up close !

A lot of people are not shipping to US right now. Freaking crazy for sure.

Re: New Seiko Thread
I'm growing impatient with Topper... Seems every other country and USA AD has them except Topper. When you're willing to pay full MSRP you have expectations of getting it promptly. At least I do. First time pre-ordering a watch hasn't been the best experience.
I'm considering pulling the plug and waiting here like everyone else until they become available for less.
