Re: Seiko SBDC077
Kudos to Seiko for making so many options but this one isn’t for me.

For some reason I dislike ANY watch that's green. I don't hate the color green, but it just doesn't work on watches for me.

Re: Seiko SBDC077
I wonder if the dial really looks like that, or if it’s a uniform shade?
Any green Seiko Diver seems like a blatant Rolex rip off to me, but people seem to like them - so I guess good for them.

Re: Seiko SBDC077
It would look so much better if Seiko for once stopped using overhangs

Re: Seiko SBDC077
Aren't green dial Rolex subs a fairly modern creation, like last 10-15 years? I'll give it to you that Rolex may have helped re popularize it, but Seiko and many others have done green divers for a lot longer than Rolex.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 8:22 pmI wonder if the dial really looks like that, or if it’s a uniform shade?

They made green dial 7002's in the early 90's.
Green was also popular in the 70's when lots of Swiss companies were doing it.
Rolex certainly went all in though with the vibrant shade and doing the matching bezel.

Re: Seiko SBDC077
Yeah. Seiko totally doesn’t snatch design features. Just look at the speedmaster style bracelet that Omega grabbed from all the modern GS models.
Stupid Rolex stealing Seiko’s date bubble - the nerve!

Seiko co-opting Rolex designs? I've never heard of such a thing.

Same. Plus no stupid logo on the dial.
Re: Seiko SBDC077
They totally take Rolex design features, just that I wouldn’t consider the color green one of them.
