Seiko's latest Monsters

Post by AtomicTom » Tue Apr 02, 2019 11:54 am

Think you guys must already know about the new Monsters thanks
to seeing Danny's incredible new arrival.

But just saw the new Monsters over at OceanicTime, and wanted
to report the news of a few more to you. That you may, or may not
have known about.

The latest models have 42.3mm stainless steel cases, 200 meter
water resistance, classic looking bezels, and eye-catching sunburst
orange, frosted white, black, and blue dials with Lumibrite hands,
and markers, nice bracelets, or rubber straps, and Seiko 6R15 too.

A few pics for you...

That blue looks good and surprisingly I don’t hate the patina

Thanks for sharing, Tom

- I Really dislike that huge cyclops.
- IMO that orange opaque plastic chapter ring looks bad with the orange sunburst metallic dial. Maybe it looks better in person.
- I kind of like the patina versions.

Do those new blue and black ones have longer lugs?

Yep, and different endlinks, crown and case around the crown.

The jade green one is beautiful as well which would be my next choice if I had to pick another one.

Here are in the metal photos from a friend who got the 4 of them (jade, frost, blue and orange), he’s flipping the front and blue one.

Wart + Monster is not a good look. I like the new case designs, but then they go and put an even bigger wart on it.

Hmmm, I took a look at that thread with Danny's pics. IMO I still think it looks a little odd with the opaque plastic chapter ring and the metallic sunburst dial.

Don't worry about the cyclops, it takes 10 seconds to safely remove.
I scratched mine on my mini turt so it had to go.

So what’s with the ones with the different case and fitted bracelet? I’m interested if they actually look like that.

Where is the best place to buy one of these Monsters? I'd like to check out Frost version for the summer. I see them for $450 to $475 on WUS NIB. Are there any dealers that have good pricing?

Barry
