Very cool Tom, thanks!

First thing I remembered when I saw that GS was Terry's "Road Rash Edition" Rolex

Looks like the Grand Seiko 20th Anniversary of Spring Drive comes in
four versions that include a hand decorated platinum model, a regular
platinum model, an 18k yellow gold version, and steel variation. With
the watches having 38.5mm cases size, silver, and silver "snowflake",
white "snowflake", or a sunray steel dials with either 14k white gold,
18k yellow gold, or applied steel markers, Spring Drive caliber 9R02
and 9R31 movements, and some nice looking leather straps.

but fuck Seiko with their constant stream of 44mm+ releases. Can’t we get a smaller spring drive diver?
I have to say the MM200 at 44mm is one of the best wearing watches i have ever owned. I would call it a 42mm easy. My 42mm GS SBGX117 wears bigger than it did.

I hate that Seiko puts “Presage” on their Presage line. Not sure why, as I don’t particularly hate “Sea-Dweller” or “Seamaster”. I always think the way it’s been displayed is a bit clumsy.

New Turdle pic stolen from WUS. I love it. Curious as to what the bezel is made out of.

Me too. It's a really classy looking watch, shitted up by three lines of text in three different fonts. A Sub or whatever is already busy, so writing a novel on the dial isn't that jarring.

+1 that Presage is a bit of a mess. If you're looking for something in that style I'd take a look at this:

That's pretty, but I find myself just not a "dress watch guy". At some point, I'll buy some super dressy PP but that's low on my list.

Maybe I'm getting old but I don't find it that dressy. The hands look like they're from a pilot's watch, hands and numerals are lumed etc. I could easily see myself wearing that with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt

My first thought was actually "it would be better without all the lume". It's like an ultra lux pilot watch.

Honestly I could do without all the lume too. But it makes for a better argument against it being a dress watch

I’m sure it’s big too. Honestly this is exactly the sort of watch that doesn’t do it for me these day. I’m sure it’s very nice but I doubt that I’d wear it much even if it were a gift.

Reminds me of the SBBN015 bezel finish.

The SDBD027-21/SNR029-31 dial & hands are very nice ImageImage

The indices are crisp &sharp!

The 12,9,6 have a striped pattern.

Much nicer than mm300/ 600 more rounded indices.

This looks like the titanium MM300 that I’ve wanted. It even looks like it could be 22mm lugs. The only problem is the price, but if it’s available with a decent discount it could happen.

I’m guessing $4,850 street price. Hopefully lower Image

SBDB027 JDM version is $630,000 JPY

And yes, it’s 22mm lugs Image

Still expensive for what it is, but still less than a Sub. I’d buy this before I’d spend $4k on the 6105 reissue.
