I've had the black version of the Nighthawk and it is cool, but wears bigger than I like these days. I just found an unworn Alpinist for basically list plus shipping, so I'm going to give it a try. Shout out to Terry for connecting me with the seller!

Maybe I've just never learned it properly, but I just can't seem to get past compass points on a watch with no compass... It just bugs the hell out of me for some reason, even though admittedly here they are not too obtrusive.
All 3-handers work as a compass using the sun. The capacity to take a more accurate bearing due to the markings is cool.

Mine just arrived and I love it. The dial really changes based on the lighting. I need to get a bracelet. Thanks again Terry for the hook up!

Beautiful dial.

Go for it. Worst case scenario you can flip it at zero loss
I never hesitate to try something if I know I can resell it without losing money, it's like I'm borrowing it for a test ride in case I don't like it.
I have one here. I am just saying that I believe the Hamilton Khaki is a better buy, and better watch imo. :salute:

Sorry I completely misunderstood lol

Personally I like the dial/hands of the Hamilton much better, but those long and flat lugs ruin it for me.

The alpinist wears like a dream on smaller wrists
The alpinist does wear better. But damn the crystal glare takes away from the dial. I can hardly see what finish the dial has. The compass on the alpinist seems like it moves every time I cough.

So ever since the LE came and gone...Ive been thinking about the Alpinist. Since im not willing to pay for a 3x mark up, what do you guys think about the Green? The numnerals...its raised...I assume its not gold.

Also whats the best deal you guys have seen?

Thanks much
