I've noticed multiple SBDJ011s with some odd marks on them... all in the same place. ie: I believe each of these three images is a different watch.
The 'ring' around the outside of the dial could be where it draws solar power from (?) but the three lines on the face of the watch... no idea.
I did some searching and it seems a lot of Rolex's get flaws on their sunburst dials, but I haven't seen this on a Seiko before.
Given how hard these dials are to capture, I'm surprised it's shown up so well in these images.
Any thoughts?
Marks / flaws / imperfections on dial of SBDJ011?
Re: Marks / flaws / imperfections on dial of SBDJ011?
Mystery solved. A chap on another forum pointed out it's the solar panels.

Interesting. Dial appears to have a sunburst pattern. Is this translucent plastic?
Would think they might do the panels in quarters so that they align with 12-3-6-9 but maybe tough with the date.

I'm ok with changing a battery every 3-5 years.
