sorry hollow endlinks do not equate to cheap. what they do equate to is adjustability. some watch cases are not perfect and you adjust the hollow endlinks to fit. a solid version you get what you get.brash47 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 7:14 amI was about to pull the trigger on the Uncle Seiko until I saw......"hollow end links"
when I see a bracelet for that price and it's got cheap endlinks... I'm not buying it....I might as well buy a Hadley for less. It ends up being the same thing.
Nothing on Uncle Seiko, but damn, they could charge much less for something like that. It's the same price as a Strapcode....
Sad day

YOU ever ordered from ofrei? $7 to ship a set of spring bars in a an envelop. Oh and you have to buy $10 worth of product first.gonzomantis wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 4:33 pmI just went to Strapcode to order a clasp. $10 shipping for a $20 clasp? Pass
I haven't worn a bracelet on a watch in years, but I'm hoping the z199 will change my mind. That looks great. Just ordered one.shaneotool wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 12:24 pmi really like my uncle seiko z199. It gives the watch a real vintage vibe with the narrow clasp and hollow end links.
I didn’t like the huge looking endlinks and polished links on the other options.
Yeah that's a less than premium fit.gonzomantis wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 11:19 amSo, I'm not sure if the Z199 is for me. I like that it is thin, and tapers, but the end link fit doesn't impress me. It almost looks like it's only 21mm. Here it is, next to the stock Seiko bracelet.
contact him mike. i think that isnt' right.gonzomantis wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 11:19 amSo, I'm not sure if the Z199 is for me. I like that it is thin, and tapers, but the end link fit doesn't impress me. It almost looks like it's only 21mm. Here it is, next to the stock Seiko bracelet.
Agree. Mine are nice and right.toxicavenger wrote:contact him mike. i think that isnt' right.gonzomantis wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 11:19 amSo, I'm not sure if the Z199 is for me. They are huge. It took most of the bracelet for me. I guess if you have a wrist bigger than 7 1/4 it would be great. I felt like it took up to much real-state on my wrist.
It’s a direct fit on the Strapcode tapered bracelet.sierra11b wrote:Yeah I happen to have an extra mm300 clasp in the spare watch parts case. It’s a direct fit, eh?
Honestly since Uncle Seiko came around I stopped dealing with Strapcode unless I have too.
I've bought a few of these China-sourced solid-link bracelets made for Seiko cases from various vendors (e.g. Will Jean, Strapcode). In almost every case, there's been a small problem, such as a stiff link, stripped threads, or an end link that needs to be filed slightly in order to fit properly.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Mon Feb 18, 2019 10:17 amHonestly since Uncle Seiko came around I stopped dealing with Strapcode unless I have too.
