Not sure how this is possible

Post by Brimstone » Thu Oct 25, 2018 10:07 am

It occurred to me today that in all of the years that I have been buying/selling watches that I have never owned a Seiko (at least that I can remember). It just seems crazy. I have been close many many times to getting a Sumo or MM, but never did.

Well today I was making some plans for a dive trip next month and decided to change that. I ordered a PADI Samurai which should be here next week.

I like the blue and green lume and it is a Pepsi which I have never owned either.

Looking forward to breaking it in off the coast of Mexico next month.

What NATO do you think would look good with that? Been trying to find something new.

Looks great - congrats! (it's a about time)

If you never owned a Seiko dive watch, though, are you truly a diver? Maybe you should change your avatar... :)

ha...I have thought the same thing before. Funny thing is that I have never been diving with a single Rolex diver that I have owned. Always some variation of a sub $1k dive watch (along with my Cressi of course). Seiko just seems like it belongs there. Most of the guys I dive with don’t wear watches, ever.

Eric, I honestly like basic colors. An admiralty grey would look great on it. Some guys run the True Blue Rogue on theirs and it matches pretty good.

I'd also stick with a solid color. Here's some examples fished from the web. ImageImage

Yep, I was thinking Admiralty or a Navy Shiznit (or both).

The True Blue is a fantastic color. I bought one for the STOImage and it looks fantastic on the LLD (but then, so does the greyImage)

The blue with grey striped shiznit would be nice too.

Grey Shiznit from Toxic is perfect.

The Erica Black Ops straps with very thin stripe also look good with the Pepsi bezel

Great advice on straps guys. Thanks

Frustrating thing is the watch being shipped on Thursday and arriving at the FedEx facility near my house on Thursday night, but sitting there until Monday because it was two day air and not scheduled until then.
