So it looks SPencer is retracting his comments about the c type balance. I can tell you that in my short time with the 6r15 it has been hit or miss on performance. Just like the 8r15. https://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/c-typ ... 03059.html
Either way check it out

Yep....my Blumo loses less than a second a day regardless how I wear it, so the movement is capable.
That being said the other 5 I've had/have kinda suck, so yes it's like playing the lotto.

I had a SARB035 with the 6r15 that ran about -40 a day. Drove me nuts. Nobody was able to regulate the thing. Off to a good home.
On the other hand, my SARY057 with the 4r36 is rock solid and insanely accurate.

I have had great luck with the 4r36's for sure.

Sounds like it's a case of sloppy assembly. Everyone seems to think these movements are assembled by robots. That doesn't make sense. If they're using robots to assemble them, why are they doing it in Malaysia? Robots aren't paid, last I checked.

All have been great since I have learned to regulate them myself. My daughter’s 7S26 SNK is within a few seconds a day and I got my 777 down to losing 1 second every two days. My only 6R15 loses 3 seconds a day so that wasn’t worth cracking open the case.
I use a timegrapher app which isn’t completely scientific when compared to an actual machine, but comparing those results with what it actually gains or loses in a day while wearing it usually only takes a few minutes of effort to get pretty accurate results from regulating.

I owned several of the “Shogun” model and found most close to (of within) COSC, while others were +/- 25. The last NAFT I had was well within COSC. I think regulation and timekeeping are absolutely not a priority for any Seiko below GS level.
It doesn’t make me like the brand any less, it’s just good to realize going in.

Timegrapher Lite. Works best using the microphone from the included phone earbuds.
