I read it somewhere. Is that true?
They came out with the other versions like the 023 I think and the green dial. So probably.

I had one before but heavy on the wrist, 8L35 is not accurate and they should consider titanium version!

I own Phoenix Diver 300LE with same movement and they wear much better aside the ratcheting extension.

I thought the movement is fine, but they never adjusted the version in the MM300? I suppose it is getting a little long in the tooth and their are better GS movements available now.

So glad I picked up a mint version of the 001 recently. It will not leave my collection anytime soon.

They haven't been discontinued, but the replacements have the Prospex logo in place of Marinemaster on the dial. Bezel is ceramic, and has a sapphire crystal. Same movement and price is close to $3K.

Pretty positive the 017 was discontinued and went to the 023 which is all the upgrades you mentioned.

and check out the SBDX021 green mm300 that I have listed for DWC.....I think the sapphire and the bezel are a nice upgrade.

The 8L35 movement is fantastically accurately! 14 years with my Marine Master 300 and I do not believe in service unless they show problems and it still is within 3 or 4 seconds a day. And the same with my Black Tuna 1000 bought in 2009 keeps about the same time.

You are lucky this is not always true with the 8l35 or the 6r15.

Never had any of the other movements only the Tunas and the Marine Masters over the years have interested me when it comes to Seiko.
