It's a bit Halios Puck-like. but it looks interesting.

I believe I've read these being referred to as "bottle caps" now.

I like it. Design is essentially a Tuna with the shroud removed. I'm sure this is what inspired it.

It says screw down crown in the specifications Terry posted.

I'm guessing, if the crown is screw down, then the water resistance is likely above 100m, but Seiko doesn't test beyond 100m for cost reasons.

Funky watch. I'd wear the blue one.

I thought all Seiko 5's were 100m. It could be a "5" thing.

Really if it has a screw down crown, I'd dive it. Image

Blah blah smrt phone

Yes, that is correct too. I forgot about that "5" thing.

I agree as well about the dive thing. I trust the water resistance of a 100m rated Seiko more than I do a the water resistance of a 1,000m rated micro.

Very nice models, I wish they did not have the 5 logo on the dial though, nor the writing "Sports"...

Yeah I don't care about the rating as long as the crown is screw down, so that's good to know

Because I believe Seiko actually tests their watches to their rated depth. Plus, I've had decent luck with their Mahwah, NJ customer service center in the event something does go wrong.

Fullswing claims to have a pressure tester (although the photo on their site shows a unit designed to test only a single case at a time which would be problematic given the number of watches they produce) and Dan at OWC has sent me photos of his set up. Other than those micros, I'm not certain if any of them actually test their cases. I think most just rate their watches based upon a theoretical pressure resistance based upon the materials and design.

The case is exactly the same size as the solar tuna. The lume is whiter than most seiko's imo. It uses spring bars with a .9mm tip, and it is like a black chrome finish on the watch. Bezel operates really good on it. If it had a screw down crown it would be even nicer.
