Latest Seiko project, SRP779 with SDBC027 dial

Post by CarloDWC » Sat Jun 09, 2018 8:32 am

This is one of the last projects I did, Seiko SRP779 with the Sumo Limited Edition dial SDBC027 and SNZH55 hands. I would like to replace the bezel insert to a black one at one point.

That looks great. I'd love to do this with the 027 hands.

Thank you guys. These parts are a little hard to find, I was lucky to find the dial on sale on the Seiko forum from Duarte. Could not find the 027 hands though so used what I had available.

It’s odd that some parts are so hard to find. What does Seiko do if a customer needs replacement hands?

I think that model was a limited edition or anyway was produced only a short time so some parts might be less available. I am grateful that I can find some of the Seiko parts. I cannot say that for some other companies that keep their parts under triple lock...
