Sorry. My first thought about the top one was "love".
Re: New Quartz GS!
Holy smokes! And 39mm! Finally seiko listened but during a time I'm broke.
I so want one of the top two

Top left one is a beauty!!! Like the big date (matching date wheel), twisted lugs, great size too
A white dial would also rock.

Looks like a perfect daily, loving the size. Wonder what these will go for price wise.

So you really dislike the twisted lugs?!?!?!?

I love them on Omega. They ARE Omega. What I don't love is Seiko shopping everyone else's back catalog for design ideas when they have their own great stuff to pull from.Joeprez wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2017 7:19 amJP Chestnut wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2017 7:03 amOn second thought, the top ones look to have an exact replica of the Omega twisted lug design. It could just be the pictures though. Perhaps the lugs tops are flat and it's a perfect execution of the Grammar of Design. Or, maybe it's another example of Seiko ripping off the Swiss brands.
Re: New Quartz GS!
They don't appear twisted in these pics but we all know how crappy leaked catalog shots from Seiko are vs. the real thing.
Re: New Quartz GS!
The LE looks great. And I know I should think like the cool kids do, but quartz, even GS quartz, is just not my cuppa.

Re: New Quartz GS!
I doubt they’re a twisted design. Reminds me of how the lugs taper on the SARX033. Since this is quartz it might be somewhat affordable. 39mm is perfect.

39mm
Re: New Quartz GS!
This is likely. If that’s the case I love this case and this one looks like a winner.Seppia wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2017 9:26 amJP Chestnut wrote:I love them on Omega. They ARE Omega. They seem to have a case design that's very similar to these models. Pictured here sbgx087
Would not say it's lifted from Omega, the lugs look inclined but not twisted
The specs on this say 38mm, so it could be the exact same case, with the extra 1mm added by the 24h fixed bezel

Re: New Quartz GS!
Either one of the top two would be a winner for me. It is the quartz version of the Grand Seiko GMT SBGM001. Which I also love. But it does look like the quartz version has lume on the hour markers.

Re: New Quartz GS!
They look great, but they've already got a perfect GS GMT in the SBGJ001.
Re: New Quartz GS!
I like it. Twisted lugs used to be used by a number of brands, some predating Omega.

Really they are just exaggerated chamfers as Seiko has used on a number of watches over time.

Does this mean I need to sell off my Omegas?dnslater wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2017 3:25 amI like it. Twisted lugs used to be used by a number of brands, some predating Omega.
