I wondered that myself. Mine came on the original tire tread strap, but a Google search did turn up some that came on a tropic.

I'm almost glad it's $5400. Because at that price I'm out. No need trying to figure out how to make it happen. I do think it's going to be an epic piece of badassery, though.

My $1,650.00 USD Marine Master does a decent job of scratching the 6159 itch. Plus, everything lines up, which is rare for a modern Seiko.

Yeah, I need the reissue, and the original. But the original is so rare, only one out there is a relumed dial one on eBay. Prices for the original are destined to rise.

In all seriousness, it’s shaping up to be a seriously great reissued 6159, but playing in a field with stiff competition. My large dive watch budget got spent already, with no regrets.

Did you guys see the two NOS 6159s that just popped on the Bay? Prices at best offer 11K and 20K. Both auctions include the OG accessories. You think it's legit? I was wondering if there are replica 6159s out there? The seller has 100 percent feedback, but only 232. You think it's a safe buy?
