Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
This just "leaked"
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
Cue the “that looks like shit” comments based on the crap renderings, followed by a much better final product in the metal.

Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
Finally got the second hand right.
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
So does the second row show a lesser Marinemaster style model like they did with the 62mas?
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
~45mm case size = fail
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
Yup. I'm out as it'll probably have long lugs as welljtbenson wrote:~45mm case size = fail
Many will register, few will last

Is the last one a green MM300?

Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
Yonsson kept saying this was coming. Will most likely be out of my price range, but damn, I want it.
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
Wow, that looks great. And it's an 8L55 Hi-Beat movement. That watch deserves to be reissued as a Hi-Beat.
Edit: Just noticed it wasn't the 8L35.

Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
Holy crap...I might have to be in. Size gives me pause, but look at that thing!
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
Also, I'm pretty sure this will wear smaller than the specs.
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
If it's anything like the SBEX, it will suck. But I'm keeping my eye out.
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
The MM300 case is 44mm and it wears much smaller to me. Hoping this one will wear like that one.

That green one is a laugh. Just what the world needed - A Seiko produced homage to the Rolex LV.

Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
The 6159 wears totally different from the MM since it since it isn't top heavy at all and it is thinner than the MM. Shave 3mm off the back of a MM and you will have a 6159 imo.

Yep. Which makes me think (hope?) that this one will wear like a dream.toxicavenger wrote:The 6159 wears totally different from the MM since it since it isn't top heavy at all and it is thinner than the MM. Shave 3mm off the back of a MM and you will have a 6159 imo.
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
I'm guessing the retail on this will be north of $5K. That said, if it is as awesome as I think it might be, it won't ever lose its value.
Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
I’m not sure that’s the impression I’m getting. It seems like they’re using the color scheme they’ve been using on the LE GS models with the gold accents they’ve used. If the green was a similar shade and no gold I might agree.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2017 9:21 amThat green one is a laugh. Just what the world needed - A Seiko produced homage to the Rolex LV.

Sunburst green dial, plus dull green rotatable diving bezel...Torrid wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2017 9:24 amI’m not sure that’s the impression I’m getting. Yeah. Clearly an original design fully in harmony with Seiko's historic design language.

Re: Seiko 6159 reissue!!!!
If you know me, you know I don't like big watches, but I wore the original 6159 and loved it. If the case is a re-creation of the original case, it'll wear beautifully for most people, it wears more like a 42mm.
