Some of these are kinda cool, in a Tuna..ish kind of way.

Wtf. Too much tentical porn at seiko HQ. It's rotting their brains.

I actually don't mind em, and like that they are solar. Good beater at that price point

I'm not a buyer, but I like that Seiko is doing this. A smaller, thinner Tuna would be nice with similar dimensions.

^ that one is cool, but they should've matched the bezel font color to the dial font color

They're not terrible and I love the size.

These are the only two I'd consider. Agree the bezel font color matching the hands on the 2nd one may be better.

Not bad-ish... would be kinda curious to see what one looked like with the shroud removed.

The Alpinist style hands aren't great. This however,

Some of these models are very nice. Well done. I've been thinking that the "field watch" segment seems relatively neglected, compared to divers and aviation pieces. Few dive, and fewer fly planes, but many, many more of us spend time outdoors. I hope these sell well.

I have always liked the idea of a thinner Tuna - Change the hands and I'm on board.

I could have sworn I've seen that dial somewhere before....
I dunno....It's like the Seiko Field Tuna got its inspiration from Hamilton ! The dial layout resembles the Hamilton Field Khaki Titanium and the hour-minute hands from the Murph watch of the movie InterstellarImageImageImageImage

As with all the new Seiko models, the design gets more gaudy IMO. Here is my Fieldmaster from the 90s. There were 3 variations of dial color, if I recall. This one was titanium and slim....should have kept it!

This reminds me of a friend of mine who studied far eastern languages, and specialized in Japanese.
When I asked him why he picked Japanese he answered
"Sushi, and tentacle porn. Mostly tentacle porn."

I still laugh to this day when I remember it.

By the way this one is not too awful, especially considering its smaller than a regular Tuna.
Anybody know if the shroud is metal?

Say here they're plastic- http://www.ablogtowatch.com/seiko-prosp ... e-watches/

I kinda miss my old Frankenmonster and the 027 reminds me a lot of the one I had

These are supposedly as cheap as $340. If so, that seems like a great value. I might buy one for my daughter to play with.
