SBDX017 Bracelet End Link Woes...
So, I just got around to getting the bracelet sized and when I mounted it to the watch I noticed this terrible fit to the case... anyone else experiencing this??
Conversely has anyone used one of Strapcode's Super Oyster bracelets? How's the fit of them to the case??
Any input is greatly appreciated!!

You have some posting woes too. Replace the spring bars and see what happens. If that fails there's always...

That doesn't look right at all. On the two I've had the endlinks fit perfectly.

The horrible strapcode thing. I think they're going to try to fix the butt ugly end links.

I suppose rubber or a NATO on the MM300 isn't too out of character........

Did you buy it used? Just wondering if you maybe didn't get the fat spring bars. Narrow ones I could see causing that gap.

I did, from a friend who had never used the bracelet. (I unwrapped the plastic). They are the Seiko fatties...59yukon01 wrote:Did you buy it used? Just wondering if you maybe didn't get the fat spring bars. Narrow ones I could see causing that gap.

I've seen other pictures of terrible end link fit on the MM300 and mentioned it a few times on here. Most claim it's due to shadows - you know the real deal though. Try new spring bars for sure. My Omega Speedmaster had terrible (but a thousand times better than this) end link fit with the stock bars. OEM replacements made a big improvement.

Cool, I'm ordering some of Terry's and if those don't work *shrugs* I'll wear it on a NATO, I don't "love" the bracelet so it's not a deal breaker for me.JP Chestnut wrote:I've seen other pictures of terrible end link fit on the MM300 and mentioned it a few times on here. Be sure to try the 2.5 diameter shoulder less bars with 1.2 tips
Re: SBDX017 Bracelet End Link Woes...
The 2.0 diameter bars fit an Isofrane perfectly with no play. Also 1.2 tips on Seiko MM.

These are solid end to end and take on almost a fixed lug appearance when mounted. The stock bars have tapers toward the ends and frankly I found them to feel rather flimsy. These bars that Terry sells (if sourced from the same guy I'm thinking of) are much more solid feeling.
I didn't care for the bracelet fit on either of the MM300's I had and these made it better, although Seiko doesn't help in the end link department.
The 2.0 / 1.2 tips version is how I wore Isofrane and nato, but I left the bars in place on the Isofrane and used a separate set for natos. They last longer that way and it's a quicker change over.

^ the Terry bars also extend further into the holes and just feel stronger to me.
I use the same bars (with different end tip sizes as appropriate) in my other watches too. In my PO2500 I run the 2.0 diameter shoulder less with 1.0 tips. When in place it simulates a fixed lug (think Milsub) and is ideal for nato straps. If I want to swap it out for some other strap I'd just cut the spring bar with a pair of wire cutters. Done it many times and super easy.

Thanks, but he's definitely more flimsy.
