New Seiko bracelet help

I'm no hot shot biomedical engineer, not an IT expert, and defiantly not a Macy's CEO....

But I'm struggling trying to figure out what this extra link is on my Seiko bracelet.
It looks to be a divers extension, but I cannot figure out how to open it. I don't know if it's abnormally tight or what....

Possibly just tight, but yes it's a divers extension. Put your fingernail under that and pull up and it should release and extend. All my Seikos have that.
