That does look great, Jeff. Good job getting in on that pre-order.

It's priced like a GS. I wonder if the quality will be similarjswing wrote:Pretty much perfect.

I'm not sure why they even bothered with a bracelet, this watch belongs on rubber. My bracelet won't even get sized. Seiko bracelets always suck.

Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
I wonder how much those straps will go for from Seiko...
Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
Given it is an LE it probably didn't make sense to design a special bracelet for it.
Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
Looks great even in stock Seiko photos which says something
Is the mouth of the Dolphin supposed to resemble the lugs of the watch?
Need to have a better look at the bracelet and clasp. I think it's a good purchase at $2500.

Better pictures, but still not a fan of the hands. Really like the blue though.

Looks cool, but wtf is up with their low price = huge size strategy? Same watch at 41mm would be better.

I got it via pm. Thanks Jeff. Do I need to name drop to get a good deal, or is it a flat discount?

These actually aren't too bad if I don't think of them as 6217 homages. That is a nice blue dial.59yukon01 wrote:Better pictures, but still not a fan of the hands. Really like the blue though.

Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
Which hands would fit this movement to make a cheapy 62massss
Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
Any I would imagine... I think Seiko uses the same size hands for most of their movements which is why modders love them. If you could source a SBDC027 handset it would be really cool. Still too large for me, though, but I had the same thought.
I thought the same until I remember that monstrosity SBEX001/003 and that I cannot think of a recent LE (aside from the SBEX) that wasn't a reinterpretation of an existing large model (SBDX012, SLA013J, SBDC027, and all the ladyboi Thai Sumos). Seems that the SBDX019 might be a step in the right direction?JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2017 1:27 pmLooks cool, but wtf is up with their low price = huge size strategy? If Seiko doesn't offer another non-le flavor of the SBDX019 it will be a first. Maybe we will see a black or blue dial of this one? Offering a completely new watch as an LE out of the gate has to be hard to justify given the R&D, re-tooling, manufacturing, etc.

Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
^^^I like it, and I assume the only reason Seiko didn't use those in the first place was because they wanted the LE to be exclusive. These will sell regardless, but probably even more so with the original look hands.
Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
Getting the blue dial, love it
