Was talking to Tom yesterday who said Seiko Joe is getting some for the Miami boutique. Obviously at a premium.
The boutique would mark these up over list?

I meant premium over what the JDM sellers were selling for

Anyone here want one? I've got the hookup for one at MSRP but you need to act quickly.
Terry was looking for one, but I think he was hoping to pay with sexual favors.

Yep. If you haven't ordered from them prior, once you select it on the website and give them your info, they send you a PP invoice when its confirmed. Usually later that day or night depending on the time difference. Usually takes three days from Japan to NJ once they ship in my experience. They said it would definitely be up on the 21st.

EDIT: I really wish I could have grabbed the LE Hop offered up, but I'm not ready to move anything else I own right now. I know I'll regret it.

So you can't pre-order from them?

Correct. I asked about reserving one. They're exact response:

"Since it is not limited,
it will be list up on our web site near future.
Just wait till then."

My LE came from Chino. I can translate this to mean, the regular production model will be sold online, and listed on their website. In other words, a typical purchase once it drops.

Chino sold the LE via a back door means of ordering an MM300, and then adjusting the price at invoice if you were first to grab one of their allocated watches. It was strange, but considering I got the email at 2 a.m., buying any watch in the middle of the night feels like the Twilight Zone. :shifty:

Yes, that's exactly how I interpret it. The SBDC051/053 are not limited and will be readily available, so no preorders.

On toxic gray. It may be my color blindness playing tricks on me, but it seems like a perfect match?

I think the stock strap looks best so far. Might be uncomfortable, but its undoubtably good looking.

Problem with the stock strap is that it's too long, too thick, and a lint magnet. Otherwise it's perfect. I'll probably order an Uncle Seiko waffle strap, which will provide the look of the OEM but solve the other issues.
