SBDX0017 -- MM300
Marine Master 300 SBDX017. Newer version with Diashield coating, but same awesome 8L35 caliber from Shizukuishi studio inside.

It's been out for a while. I still want one.

I like diashield but it IS a little dull compared to SS.

I'm confused- is this a different version than the one that replaced the sbdx001 last year? Or is someone just waking up from a long, 12-14 month sleep?

I think so. It's easy to miss not watching though since it doesn't look different. Not sure the Diashield is necessary. I'll try and post some pictures later. It does resist scratches but it still does scratch. I'm not one to get watches refinished, but it does have to go back to Seiko Japan to be refinished and then recoated.
Re: SBDX0017 -- MM300
I view the Diashield finish to be superfluous in this instance. If only because refinishing it is a burden. It's only slightly better than having to to send a Sinn back for silliness like a battery change.
only accurate watches are interesting

The scratches and scuffs are part of the charm on a stainless steel sports watch.

Even more confused.
Is this not the same watch we started discussing in the fall of 2015??

Much rather have the SS then Diashield coating

I had the choice and went with the SBDX001 but I wouldn't kick an 017 out of bed.hoppyjr wrote:The scratches and scuffs are part of the charm on a stainless steel sports watch.

Re: SBDX0017 -- MM300
I like Diashield on the Ti Shogun, but I agree that it probably isn't worthwhile on SS. Suppose it would help the bracelet look clean longer, so maybe benefits there.
