Opinions on SBDB011 MM600

Post by Rick448 » Mon Oct 10, 2016 12:39 pm

I am considering going for the MM600 as I really like the look of them. I had the MM300 a while ago but it just felt a little small. I have a Shogun as my daily wearer and also a Planet Ocean liquid metal 46mm.

As I've not been able to see a MM600 in the flesh can someone let me know how it compares to the PO or even my Orient 300 Diver?

Many thanks.

Is that the one with bolt in the middle?

I think if I recall it's about the same as OS300
But that bolt makes it less articulated around the wrist than OS

Thanks. I'm sorely tempted by this, it's such a shame there don't appear to be any in the uk I can look at before stumping up £3k! I love my PO but a special Seiko is something's no I'd like too. I'm just not that sold on the Grand Seiko offering. The bolt between the lugs is my only concern really. Though I doubt I'd change the bracelet so it probably doesn't really matter.

That's US only though. Looks very nice, not sure about the mod though. :)

I've handled the standard MM600 and if I were to add one to the stable, I'd definitely have to consider that modded version.

It's a brave new world. I think it's worth asking Jeff what he's willing to do. It's an awesome looking watch with that mod.

It's a fantastic watch with or without that mod. It's a large and tall piece but as you already have a puck in the PO 46 and other large watches I say go for it.

Love them in the Sales forums and loved it in the boutique. It's a quality piece.
only accurate watches are interesting

Thanks all. I may well check the availability and options. I'm sure I could live with the mod.

If you're chasing a SD GMT diver with a proprietary bracelet, but don't want one that's visible from space, check out this Transocean variant.
