New Prospex divers to be released in 2016...

Post by mariod » Thu Oct 22, 2015 12:40 am

...and to me it looks like a re-issue of the 6309-704x divers:

To be released in May 2016 according to a post I found on reddit. Don't like the Prospex logo on the dial, but I guess I'm in ;)

Mario

Absolutely IN!

4r36 adds hacking & hand winding.

This is great news. :)

They look like they'll be a hit. I wasn't familiar with the 4R36 movement so I looked it up. Matbe they'll find their way into the Seiko 5 and SKX lines? It's time to retire the 7S26.

Oh, dear. They win.

Let's hope they keep the size on the regular human side, but they look phenomenal

Oh yeah I'm in! Hope they will also have an all black bezel model as well.

I just got to look at this at home, on my phone I didn't realize the one was black/blue. I just hope Seiko doesn't do their 90% right then cock it up routine on these. If this watch can take an SKX/6309 bezel insert it'll be a real winner.

Nice, I'm in... Like them both but probably get the blue...

The color of the minutes hand matches the bezel though.

I think they look great, but can someone please explain to me why Seiko insists on putting the second hand lume pip at the wrong end of the hand on many of their models? It's stupid.

Unfortunately I'm out as my Sumo is the only black face diver I need. Never been able to keep two black dive watches in the collection. These do look great overall except for the bracelet. Looks like the bracelet on the new Tunas.

Good find. Looks like a 42mm bezel on a 44.3mm case.

The gold marker bezel variant is different in a good way.

Nice find. I dig them. Especially glad to see that they kept the proportions the same as the original.
