That really really looks similar to the current MM300. It's nice when a company stick to their roots.

Goddam that's gorgeous. But not $4K USD gorgeous. I went there anticipating a doable number. Holy shit. Still though, that's beautiful.
You give respect, you'll get respect - you just don't know your place.

Yep, the mm300 is supposed to be the 6159's predecessor. Awesome heritage, and Seiko showed this when they came up with the limited gold mm300-JP Chestnut wrote:That really really looks similar to the current MM300. It's nice when a company stick to their roots.

You're not offender, so I don't know why you're complaining.

I still like the OEM rubber. It's stiff but wears great when broken in.

Actually these have been going for about 5k and up for ones that have had a basic service on them. I like the watch but don't love it, I would want a Historical MM before I would this one.
Jack did a great job on it also.

When I first started thinking seriously about the MM300 I considered hunting down the historic version. I like the looks better, but it was hard for me to justify over two times the price of a new one for a few cosmetic changes.toxicavenger wrote:Actually these have been going for about 5k and up for ones that have had a basic service on them. Saw one in the flesh while on vacation at Hong Kong. Store owner who happens to be a watch enthusiasts also wouldn't budge on selling it to me. I was prepared to empty the wallet and be on a cracker diet on the last leg our trip in Macau haha
