Seiko Scuba Shogun back from IWW with some Subtle Mods...

Post by DCJ » Wed Oct 23, 2013 12:48 pm

Just received my Seiko Scuba Shogun back today from Jack at IWW and he installed a new Sapphire Crystal from the Seiko Summo and I just installed a new Marine Master Clasp direct from Seiya :) Subtle changes but definitely like having a Sapphire Crystal as opposed to the Hardlex. The Clasp is nice and hefty and give the watch a tad more weight but matches perfectly. Here are some quick pics after the mods. I really would not mind trying a different OEM Seiko Hand Set but after a pretty good search, they are kind of hard to find... Anyone know as to where I could find some OEM Seiko hands, please let me know.

Congrats.
Try Rob @ MonsterWatches for some OEM MM300 hands, or Harold @ Yobokies for aftermarket ones, or Jake @ DagazWatches for other Seiko options.

Don-
That's looking real good. Hate hardlex, scratches like hell and it doesn't big as nice as acrylic. Sapphire on that beast is the way to go.

Nice job. I'm curious what it'll look like with different hands :ugeek:

Looks great, the AR coating on the sapphire sets it off nicely
