I'd like an 015 too. If prices will hold for awhile like Ed mentioned, that or the Spring Drive Tuna will be in my future.

Nice pics, Ben.

I love how worked up Terry gets over this. It's his one Achilles heel you can keep in the back pocket for when he attacks vintage watches, Kobold, Doxa or safe sex...

No sir. That is a northface fleece. It's my favorite coat, I love it. We actually have winter here in Ohio. It's either this or I stop shaving my arm hair. We know that's not going to happen.

Haha-
That's why I covered my head and tucked my butt in after I talked about the crown.... Screw a political topic, just ask terry about the MM! I love it.

But we sort of agree... The crown is the weak point on the watch. Now I know you can service the crown/tube I'm not such a hater, I may try it again.
And maybe he's right, maybe mine had the crappy earlier crown. I did buy it used, maybe it was more abused then what I realized.

All and all I just want terry to remember the fun snuggle sessions we've had.

With those snuggle videos of Ben & Terry on Youtube, it seems "two men one panini" is the DWC version of "two girls one cup"

I believe the official story on the bezel is that it is a one piece SS bezel which is painted black and the numbers are applied with lasers. They then coat with clear lacquer which gives it the high gloss finish. Light scratches can be rubbed out with a cape cod.

So before I pull the trigger on one of these, do I need to be worried about the crown?

According to everyone else no.

Now that I know you can replace the crown and tube I'm not such a hater anymore.

Your right, all the heart ache I have endured since About Time fucked my watch up it has turned personal as hell. :banghead: Now hopefully it will come back in og status. I should have just left the fucked alone but for awhile there I was into full mod status. :raised:

Bought the watch just before getting married 8 years ago. The crown has always been stiff and never wobbled. Always screwed on easily. The thing that drived me crazy anout the wstch is the plastic like bezel insert that nobody seems to know what is made of and can't be replaced with a ceramic one. I have not sold it because I wore it on our wedding day And my wife likes it.

I really liked mine. I sold them because historically when you needed a quick sale they ALWAYS sold quickly and could be re-acquired. I admit the crown was not perfect since the threads were so fine that I felt they were delicate. But understanding how threads work I was not concerned about it too much but know it was an issue for many. Once screwed down I had no worries. I don't remember if either of mine were wobbly. I wore the heck out of mine on bracelet, NATO, leather. It saw a lot of time swimming and boogie boarding in the Ocean.

I think it was a enamel coating. It was not as delicate as people made it seem. I wore mine at the beach a lot. It was covered in sand several times. It did not have any scratches through the finish. I think it was more like hairline marks that could be seen in certain light.
