Pics: Diver cousins 6105, 6309 and 015 Tuna

Post by BBK357 » Fri Mar 08, 2013 7:27 am

Took these pics a couple months ago.
All three are on isofranes.
Great group with my favorites together.

6105- most comfortable vintage Seiko and most unique. My favorite Seiko.
6309- most popular vintage Seiko that has a great history of service.
015 Tuna- my favorite quartz Seiko that is extremely accurate and tough as nails.

this one was instagrammed-

I think I took these before I sent it to Terry to try out, right after Jack sent it to me.

The 6105 is the standout. Shame you couldn't get a picture with the Seiko straps. The 6105 on Waffle is sweet. Would have been perfect.

6105 is my favorite Seiko.
It has a funky shape yet thin, I love the dial and hands- simple but effective, light weight, if movement is maintained it is very reliable, domed crystal, and Martin Sheen wears it in Apocalypse Now.

Nice Seiko collection!

I've had a lot of Seikos but I found reason to sell them.
I don't think you can to wrong with these 3 though.

I have to agree though it shared a lot of time with its younger 6105 sibling. Both wore very nicely for vintage watches.

+1 on the 6105-8000. The coolest design of all Seiko divers IMHO, and the 81xx is up there with it.

The Tuna has the most innovative design. Can't say ever seeing a shroud on other divers when the Tuna first came out.
