UFO has landed!

Post by rammerjammer » Thu Dec 20, 2012 6:39 pm

Seiko 6138-0017 UFO has arrived and I'm thrilled. Great condition too. Crystal was replaced with what looks to be a high quality mineral glass and the case has been polished but dial and hands look to be original. Doubt the bezel insert is though. Kinda weird not having any sort of seconds hand...

Congrats! That's very nice.
I was told by some guys on the Seiko forum that it's better for the movement to keep the small seconds chrono hand going instead if keeping it stopped.

Very cool, congrats. You'll get used to the lack of a constant second. I find it refreshing on my 757.

Thanks! I've already gotten a 6139 to keep her company ;-)
Really are great watches. And they don't cost a small fortune.

Damn straight... Kinda like the looks of those old Citizen Bullheads. Not typically a Citizen guy but I might make an exception and cheat on my beloved Seiko. Just this once :-)
