So probably a 42mm bezel - should wear nicely.

I really like it too.

Almost looks like the old GS rubber strap from years ago. I like this watch. The crown is weird. But i like the rest of it.
I do like that watch a lot, looks very toolish. What's the diameter? 52mm?

Sounds like it is basically a modified MM case. Which is really cool. But that price tag is redonkulous

Holy cow, can't believe all of these guys ! :salute:

It's something just how many terrific watches Seiko alone is showing
at Baselworld. :o ..Thought I would add in these new Grand Seiko 20th
Anniversarys that are evidently being shown also. ..Hope I am not
double posting about these...

Looks like the Grand Seiko 20th Anniversary of Spring Drive comes in
four versions that include a hand decorated platinum model, a regular
platinum model, an 18k yellow gold version, and steel variation. With
the watches having 38.5mm cases size, silver, and silver "snowflake",
white "snowflake", or a sunray steel dials with either 14k white gold,
18k yellow gold, or applied steel markers, Spring Drive caliber 9R02
and 9R31 movements, and some nice looking leather straps.

Very cool Tom, thanks!

First thing I remembered when I saw that GS was Terry's "Road Rash Edition" Rolex

This is the year everybody decided to smoke crack before Basel.

My guess is that they slapped a vintage 19mm strap on it and the lugs are probably 20mm.

If Seiko could figure out how to make that 3 o'clock sub dial track a second time zone and not be a slaved 24 hour indicator (come on, Seiko, I don't need a watch to tell me whether it is day or night outside - any window will do), I'd have one of those in a heartbeat.

Love the way this looks, but fuck Seiko with their constant stream of 44mm+ releases. Can’t we get a smaller spring drive diver?

^^^So about MM size, but a little thicker. Those aren't bad, but I've never liked the power reserve on a dial, and what is up with that Big Mac sized crown.

Yes, for an MM. But the Ti GS Spring Drive Diver is what, $7k list at the boutique?

I’ll bet a Ti monoblock MM case wears really nice.

Edit: saw it’s got a case back, so not the same monoblock

The case profile is very nice. It’s the same as a U1 Pro at 15.7mm

It’s a winner. The crown won’t appear as large in person

That GMT is great!

The crown is big but it's not not massive and I'm willing to bet it doesn't interfere with wear, plus it's plenty meaty for winding. It'll be interesting to see how the crown assembly works over time... This evolution makes sense to me because for years we wanted a Ti MM300 but we always bitched about the crown/stem junction. Maybe they made it bullet proof?

They clearly listened on MM300 and Landmaster wishes by trolling the forums. The crown on the Landmaster and GMT does appear to be a tad smaller, too.

You’ll also want them to change the hands. I have one of the originals and the chrono is just about useless between 25 and 35 after the hour and between 5 and 7 o’clock.
