Vintage Guys - Need An Opinion

Post by namor » Mon Apr 27, 2020 3:28 pm

This is a vintage Zodiac SSW 750M model. Its in rough shape, but it's a cool old timer dive model.

However, I've never seen a two layer bezel before - is this correct for this watch?

Any input/insights would be greatly appreciated!

I don't believe I've seen that bezel setup before.

Last one of mine. None looked like that.

Bezel insert should be Bakelite as well.

I have only owned one of them and it definitely did not look like that. It looks like they tried to resurrect a watch that was damaged.

You’ve convinced me that this one is a pass. If the bezel is wrong - but being presented as all original - then who knows what else is Frankenstein.

Kind of a shame - there are very few 36000 bph divers out there
