Any O&W fans?

Post by caesarmascetti » Sun Mar 08, 2020 12:23 pm

I've had this for some time, serviced runs great lots of "patina". My question is does anyone know if the crown should screw in? The crown is spring-loaded and it says waterproof I'm thinking it should screw down, anyone know for sure?

From what I can gather, it appears that the crown should screw down. Especially if rated to 20 ATM.

Cool and thanks for the links, I'll have to check with my watchmaker if he can fix it

I had about 5 Caribbean 1000 models and one had a broken crown. If yours is the same design. Don't think you can buy one. The case tube on mine was threaded on the inside and crown tube was threaded on the outside

Parts suppliers do sell threaded tube and crown sets if you want to change it over

I have recently bought a tube and crown for a vintage Squale. Had similar issues. Cost me around $200 on fleabay.

I wonder if these would work

No, these have threads on the outside of the tube. I think the ones that are needed here are the ones that have the threads inside the tube.
