$350 for a chrono is an amazing price IMO. Is that a 7734? Is the case stainless steel? Condition looks quite good too from the pic.

yes bought it a few years ago, it is a 7734 and stainless case. I've worn it quite a bit and it looked NOS when I picked it up. The only issues I guess would be spare parts for the case or dial if I ever need them, and the fact that it's a relatively unknown brand so no real collectible value, but I bought because I liked the way it looked.

The Tressa chrono is very cool. This Roamer is the only chronograph that I own at the moment. Found it at a thrift/antique store in excellent condition with a missing pusher. Price - $5. Even came with its original hang tag. Had it restored for somewhat more than $5.!

Wow that’s a great deal IMO, I’m actually thinning my herd or I would be very tempted with that. I bought a mono pusher movement with a bad dial and no case..... I’m planning a Recase with a modern case and new dial.caesarmascetti wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 1:28 pmhere's a nice chrono for sale:

I think you found the deal of the century there..... assuming you didn’t pay $500 for the repair. That foamer with the offset branding would drive some people crazy. I like quirky details like that.
I don’t have much to contribute in terms of more obscure brands, but I’m enjoying the posts for sure.

There's also Le Jour (means the day in french). I think they're still around.

Actually just rummaged through my box of stuff and I had forgotten about this.... I love quirky chronograph type movements. The red seconds hand measured minutes. The marketing sounds a bit desperate to me by today’s standards, but I wasn’t there back then.

I absolutely love some of the obscure lesser brands. But I really hate when I get one in for service. They suck when it comes to getting parts. And the repair prices get expensive really quick.

I had a couple of Tressas. Just let go of one I had for a year or so last week.

Just got my first one, and really wasn't looking for anything at all. Very little history out there at all, but it does scratch my "skipperish" desire for now.

A couple of very nice watches here! But not having a local watchmaker that I trust, I don't want to sink my money on that. The Le Jour, the Imperial and the Tevomatic are really nice!
I could treat one as a disposable, but it would have to be really cheap.
