I have a bug up my butt about acquiring some vintage JLC. looking for a history lesson. Any good books/ sites?

Any of you experts?
You can't polish a turd.... But you can roll it in glitter.

Just a warning. Many parts for older vintage JLC's are discontinued. If JLC has them. They won't sell them to you. You will have to send them the watch for them to check and then tell you the cost.

They wanted one time almost $700.00 for a movement ring and a dial for a watch that only sold in close to excellent condition at the time for $600 and they also wanted to service the movement which my watchmaker already did

Sold it for parts and never bought another

Don't buy a beater and make sure it's full cleaned, in working condition and keeping good time at about 10 seconds or less per day
