Camel Trophy Watch

Post by kempoman » Sun Jan 08, 2017 5:38 pm

Hi Gents, I just won a bid for this interesting watch. She owns a 35.5 bakelite case with fixed lugs with an unknown winding movement. Pics,

Any of us here know the movement inside her?

Looks pretty similar to the boys Timex field watch my son wore.

I read Timex claimed it was a design inspired by a military issue watch that was designed for, but never actually issued to, the U.S. Army. I'd wager this Camel Trophy watch is the original production watch before it was sized for kids.

Classic field watch. Like that it's hand wind.
Nice find!

Gents, thanks for the info. I found a lot of info in this link but not my watch. The seller just told me the watch was owned by his father and he bought it in year 1975.

I might be wrong about Vietnam Era version, I don't remember them having a flat case back like that.
