Value Question: Vintage Hamilton chrono
I've always liked the older vintage Hamilton chronos and this one is one of my favorite I've seen. I was wondering if any of you vintage experts know what it maybe worth. Been checked and runs great. Not sure when last serviced. Valjoux 7733 cal.
Vintage auto Hamis seem to command pretty high prices but the range is wide.
Thanks. B

I like these too. I've seen them going on the bay for around $1200.

At the last NAWCC regional I went to a few years ago could of got one for around 600 bucks by the time I figured I wanted it went back to the sellers booth and it was sold dam it. My issued CWC chronograph has the same movement.

There are some very cool vintage Hamilton chronographs. I really like the one you are considering. My two favorites are the Heuer-made pandas:
I wish Hamilton would reissue these in more modern sizes.

The one I posted is a 38 but design wears a bit larger
These chronos seem to go for a lot of $

I been telling members for years to go to NAWCC regional shows the larger shows you all ways find a deal if your fast enough when you see it. No one here ever listens to me. One of the best NAWCC marts was chapter 5 in the bay area held every other month and none of are bay area DWC members would bother to check it out most others chapter marts are clock related but this one was more watch related and I all ways found some thing miss that mart.Jeep99dad wrote:$600 would be a steal nowadaysRiver Rat wrote:At the last NAWCC regional I went to a few years ago could of got one for around 600 bucks by the time I figured I wanted it went back to the sellers booth and it was sold dam it. I'd say $1000 to $1500, ballpark... chrono prices have gone a little nutzoid lately, a couple years ago that was a $500 watch

This hasn't been exactly true at the local NAWCC's here locally. They use the internet to base their prices off of.River Rat wrote:I been telling members for years to go to NAWCC regional shows the larger shows you all ways find a deal if your fast enough when you see it. Re: Value Question: Vintage Hamilton chrono
Some of the older members don't use the internet I had to search and buy a part on the internet for one of the older members at my old chapter. Some use the price guide to watches book and there wristwatch price in that book is all ways lowball prices but right on when it comes to pocket watches.. And the local mart I use to go to used the boys club gym with tables from end to end so maybe more sellers than yours so more variety in prices. The more sellers the better the prices are I noticed like at a NAWCC regional all ways have more sellers I was looking for a Omega Speedy so prices were from 1400 to over 2000 from different sellers well I would be stupid not to go for the 1400 one. Smaller shows the prices are all ways higher.
