Found a nice vintage manual wind Continental chrono locally, and bought it. The case is 38mm, so wears larger than typical 34-36mm vintage watches. It has a Venus 188 movement, watch has both Swiss (for ebauche) and France (place of assembly) markings and has been freshly serviced, so works well. Estimated age is mid to late 1950s or early 1960s. Dial is excellent and radium does not glow anymore, but hands have been repainted (with luminova I think). I like the classic look, and did not have a chronograph, so this fits in well.
Have four vintage watches now - Top to bottom - 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s
Also saw some other nice watches at the shop.

Speedy 1973

Longines (30CH? possibly military?)

1940s cal. 83 IWC is a re-dial. Vintage Doxa seems original.

Wakmann (gone), Zodiac (gone), jumbo Heuer (still hanging in there)

Movado with Zenith from my last visit (gone by now)
