OK, seriously for a moment:

I think anyone that comes on a smaller forum, asks for help on something from the group, without giving any real info about themselves, what they're looking at or why they are asking, isn't going to get a great warm welcome.

If you've been around for a while and ask for help, well shit everyone knows that the DWC regulars are a damn giving bunch, which is why so many of us are still around after so many years.

Good etiquette would at least include confirmation they they searched, why they are asking here (if their first post) and a thank you up front about any help they may receive IMO. Intro threads really have fuck-all to do with it, they don't give anyone an idea if this person will actually stick around and contribute or not.

My $0.02.

Now back to the regularly scheduled bullshit and hazing.

I'm quite sure Dave doesn't give two shits about anyone's "intro thread" but "demanding" one has become part of the lexicon. When I showed up after Paul ask me to check it out in a PM at WUS when it use to be Y3 now if I got this kind of shit because I did not do a stupid intro I would of left and never came back. We should stop this stuff we are just chasing off new members nothing wrong with new blood in the forum we use to like getting new member other wise I would of not got a invite to check Y3 out that turned into DWC. And welcome SwingModern don't let these guys scare you off.
