Some thing new

Post by River Rat » Thu Jul 23, 2015 1:47 pm

Well I am getting cheap were I don't like spending a lot of money on my watch habit. When I first got into collecting watches I wanted a Sinn 103 but was cheap and got a O&W mirage III that looked like one before I moved to MT I sold it. Well Chris had a older maybe one of the first models that came out in the 1980's a Sinn 103B that had cooler hands and was hand wind with the 7760 instead of the 7750 automatic that most came with and with nice patina on dial and hands up for sale. I been thinking a while about asking to do a trade took me over a month to ask. I offered the Benthos I had about as much money in it as what he was asking for the Sinn so I thought it would be a fair trade so I asked and the deal was done. It keeps great time and good power reserve but I will have to get the chrono hand fixed does not line up all the time drives me nuts I know this watch been through a few other members hands so far will be staying a while.

Maybe the sweep hand matching my Heuer made me do it.

I have this Sinn bracelet it's brushed but the watch case is chrome do you think it would match ? I figure I got so many watches every time I add one I should release one a trade made it easy.

Beautiful 103. I think it would work great on the brushed bracelet.

Cool watch. Bracelet is nice, but I'd stick with a NATO if were me.

Looks good Mike, congrats! I'd also keep it on NATO straps, they enhance it's character.

PS: Thanks for using some periods. ;)

Outstanding Mike. I'm quite envious of that pair.

Nice score. A periodic change to the bracelet would be cool.

I have always wanted one of those, also. Love it. Your Heuer is bad to the bone.

Yeah, but then we'd have to look through 250 old threads that have been bumped to say "Looks great!"

Edit

Don't worry I just went and found out.
