Eberhard Extra-Fort Racing Chrono

Post by Dedalus » Fri Jun 05, 2015 8:27 pm

I'm a little smitten (even though it's not exactly pristine). Unfortunately, though, info. on vintage Eberhard is extremely thin on the ground. So aside from the scant bits of information on their official website and on Wikipedia, can anybody point me in the direction of a vaguely useful Eberhard resource?

Maybe a longshot, but thanks in advance.

Congrats your right I did a search of the net found about the same info you did. All ways like some of the vintage chronographs and vintage dive watches. There still in business today they came out with this cool watch last year that has a vintage vibe to it they want a little to much for it for a 7750 movement chrono.

Eberhart made some superb vintage watches.. and they are still going IIRC.
The contograf and diver models are especially sought after, but very thin on the ground.

Other than that, I can't help with any history of the company - sorry.

Edit - opps just seen RR's post above.. didn't know that they had re-made the contograf - very nice!

I should point out I haven't bought this piece but have my eye on it. 60s Contographs are stunning, but hopefully this piece isn't quite in their price category.

yes, Eberhard has been around a while but still under the radar... I recall reading that Italy was a major market for them... some very nice vintage and new models... except this
