Folks, I recently traded for this beautiful vintage Venus dive watch from either the late 60s or more likely the early 70s. The watch is in great condition and runs well. I fell in love with the sky blue 12-3-6-9 hour markers and the triangular blue second hand. The blue provides an excellent contrast to the brown metallic sunburst dial that is difficult to capture in pictures.
I'm trying to learn anything I can about this watch and brand. From what I gather, the Venus brand died around the time of the quartz revolution but the brand name was recently resurrected as so many others have. Never the less, I'd like to learn more about the original brand and this watch.
The following is printed on the case back:
Venus
984301
41522
20 ATM
Any information about this watch or its date of origination are appreciated. The strap is aftermarket.
Thanks!

Try using photobucket to host the picture. I'm no help at all as far as the watch, but we have some knowledgable vintage guys who might be of assistance.

Never heard of the brand. There were so many brands that never made the main stream just like micro brands to day that don't make it and disappeared like Kremke that's next to the DWC at the top of the page. Cool looking watch.

Cool vintage diver. My guess would be that it dates to the early 1970's. I've seen one other Venus branded diver, which was not similar to yours. Is there a depiction of the Venus de Milo on the case back?

The reverse merely has the Venus logo and the above numbers.
The brand has apparently been resurrected as many other classic watch companies have. At least their website has a little bit about the history of the company, but I've not found any more about the watch.

Here's a YouTube video of the identical watch albeit in mint condition. It looks great but I think the NATO strap on it looks horrible. Oh well, different strokes for different folks!

The dial color, blue markers, and contrasting white and blue hands make it a stunning example of a vintage dive watch. It may not be as collectable as a vintage Rolex, Tudor, or Omega dive watch, but it's probably more unique. I'll enjoy having it in my modest collection.
Thanks for any feedback from anyone that might come across this post.
