Seiko 6159-7001
Mondays usually suck, but not today. I met a guy this morning to pick up a 6159-7001. Funny thing is I didn't realize it during the negotiation process, but when I got there we realized we knew each other, had met at several gtgs. So that was cool. I expected the watch to be nice, but when I saw it in person I was floored. It's just so nice. Great example. Everything is original, even has the original strap and box/papers. I had been looking for this watch for a while, and since I'm new to vintage I really don't have the mentality that it'll take months or years to find the watch I want, so I was beginning to get frustrated. It was really lucky to not only find this, but find it locally.

WOW!!! Really?? When you go full-tard, you go full-tard!!!
I have tried to get one for years, I just can't pay the prices people want for them though.

I was gonna say dibs, but quite frankly I'm afraid of the price.matt.wu wrote:Dibs.

Re: Seiko 6159-7001
I had a guy call dibs yesterday, until he found out what I paid. I may have set a new record for this watch. But I wanted it and the guy wasn't budging.BBK357 wrote:I was gonna say dibs, but quite frankly I'm afraid of the price.matt.wu wrote:Dibs.

Well it looks as if you may have the cleanest example ever seen. So if it's worth it to you then it's worth it.

You got it, although it'll probably take the market a few years to catch up to what I paid for this thing. Oh, and plus I'm never selling it. I honestly believe that every time I buy a watch.matt.wu wrote:Dibs.

Re: Seiko 6159-7001
For nice, vintage watches, the price is set by each individual watch, honestly. So I doubt I'll be surprised. It's just a matter of whether or not I want to pay it WHEN you flip it.
Re: Seiko 6159-7001
It's a beauty. I'd love one, but won't spend big cash to make it happen. You're a Baller-San.

Re: Seiko 6159-7001
Don't worry the price will go up and ether match the price you paid or even more. That happen when I bought my Eterna Kontiki Super IDF I wanted it and paid a little more than I should of but now I could make a profit same with the Tudor Snowflake and that doubled in price don't worry the price will go up you won't loose.
