Thanks guys. I'm really happy and feel very fortunate to have found it. Don't think I'll be wearing anything else for a while.

Holy shit Jeff. That is absolutely gorgeous. I think I'd flip all of mine now for one like that. Those don't come around often at all and almost never like that. Dude. Killer!

Terry's Micorsoft Paint skills are better than mine.

Appears to have come with its original XGL-731 strap, which is almost as rare as the watch itself. Well done indeed.

Let's stop talking about it. We get it. Mods, nothing new here, let's shut this one down.Steve O. wrote:Appears to have come with its original XGL-731 strap, which is almost as rare as the watch itself. Well done indeed.

Jealousy? How about stupidity? Sold one of these a few years back for what was then the outrageous sum of $1,800. Oh well, hindsight is...oh fuck it.BBK357 wrote:toxicavenger wrote:I hope it was as good for you as it was for me...............................

Re: Seiko 6159-7001
It is the original strap. And it's surprisingly pliant and not brittle. Still, I have a couple of wjean's repro straps coming. I don't plan to baby this watch, I'll be wearing it regularly, but I think I'll put the strap away.Steve O. wrote:Appears to have come with its original XGL-731 strap, which is almost as rare as the watch itself.
