My three favorite Real pilots watches

Post by River Rat » Thu Mar 12, 2015 7:45 am

The Czech Longines Cir 1946 the Heuer Bund Cir 1970's and the Hanhart 417 Bund Cir 1955 all used as intended in the cockpit of a aircraft. My Three favorite pilot watches in the collection.

Love them all.
I've found myself going toward more pilot watches than dive watches lately.

Nice Heuer. Defiantly the stand out.

Love them all!

I've also been interested in pilot watches as of lately, as I'm very happy with my divers right now.

I've seen the Heuer before and have always liked it. But this is the first time I've seen that Longines, absolutely awesome! Not a fan of the coin edge bezel in the Hanhart, but I dig it in the square case of the Longines.

Admittedly the Longines doesn't really speak to me, but one: it can't - it's a watch, two: it doesn't need to - it's yours ;) , but those other two are sweet!

Nice pilot's group Mike!!!

All very nice Mike. As much as I like the Heuer, have to say the Hanhart is my favorite. Nice pic too...

I am with you out of the three I like the Hanhart better it is the perfect size and Hanhart 417 about 1mm smaller than the WW2 issued Hanhart you have to see how it fits and looks on the wrist and how the metal of the case aged plus the patina on the hands and dial. Nothing liked aged metal a new watch can't recreate it until it's 50 plus years old.

Thanks Mike!

The date on the reissue really kills the dial.
