And it was not any snowflake....

At this time, you could find one twice a year, never paid more than 1k euro for these. If i knew how balistic they are today, i would certainly have kept one.

79 gone too.

Like this one?

Not too much regret. It's with a decent guy and getting the attention it deserves.

All you needed was 77 and 78 and have consecutive numbers. I like to learn the 79 case back looks so different than the 76 on my snowflake case back looks the same as your 76 with out the issue marks. Should the 79 have the Rolex logo around the edge of the case back ? Was it over polished ? Hate to know what price you paid when they were a good deal for a military issued sub compared to what they sell today.

Nope. Bought it from a guy on MWR who is in Romania. Said it originally belonged to a friend of his who wore it in the early '70's while serving in the Yugoslavian Navy. Interesting back story if true.

A few years ago I owned this Favre Leuba, but sold it. Since then I've bought three more! It's my favorite vintage dive model.

Cheers,

Hi.
I didn't even noticed that before ! I've asked a friend who knows well MN's and saw many. He said the watch was hard polished and the marking redone by the army or their watchmaker. There are other exemples, and they are correct as far as the marking font is the same as usual.
