Seiko 6390-7040 Repair

Post by markh58 » Sat Dec 20, 2014 9:26 am

Would appreciate any recommendations for a reliable vintage watch repair person. My 1980 diver is in very good shape but needs new seals for waterproofing.
I would prefer a repair person in the USA but if he/she is trusted I would be okay with mailing overseas.

Thanks in advance for any input......

Cesar has a watchmaker in Pasadena called Time Essentials who does a great job for the price.

Jack At IWW will get it done. He's back logged for movement repairs but for just seals or crystal I'm sure it's not a long wait.

Duncan (cannop) in the UK, he just finished a full movement service, waterproofing to original specs of my vintage 6105. A mate of his (James Hyman) did the vintage reluming. I basically have a fully functional 6105 now. Both are highly recommended. Turnaround time is excellent and so are the prices. Here are some pics

I got mine overhauled, with new gaskets and pressure tested here:

Couldn't be happier! They are in Lacey, Washington.
