That looks great!pbj204 wrote:It arrived today and looks better than I thought. The dial, hands, and case are in great shape. I've already sent it to IWW.

"That's a good looking example. Dial/hands are AOK.
If it were my watch I'd install a reproduction insert. They look terrific and the watch will really pop. You can always keep the original stored away if you ever decide to sell the watch."

That is one fine ass watch. A bit of a grail for me. Stellar. Can't wait to see the results. A new bezel insert and new crystal will make that thing look supa fine.
yeah, and ensure Jack sends you the original parts back, including the crystal, insert, etc. just in case... I am sure they will make a difference if you want to sell it at one point.BSears wrote:T.R. wrote:Boom.pbj204 wrote:Jack emailed this back

Funny the word grail popped up. I thought about this watch as my own grail for the various threads in DWC on the topic.
That one looks in fantastic shape for its age! Holy shit did you hit the jack pot on that one. Please post some shots when Jack is done with it.
Contact IWW and he can tell his work load and cost.JimboUK wrote:Did you ever get your watch back from IWW. How long did it take, photos. Can you pm me and give me an idea of cost as I had a little luck tonight.
HOLY SHIT MAN.Zonda wrote:Great choice of watch and Jack will hold your hand all the way, just thought I'd post a pic for you to look at while she's away
Still waiting. I think it takes about 6 months. Not sure of the cost. I never even ask. His prices are very fair. The bills from other watches have always been better than expected.JimboUK wrote:Did you ever get your watch back from IWW. How long did it take, photos. His builds are actually worth it and he doesn't act like a lunatic when you ask him questions. Where some of the other Seiko guys go full bore ape-shit if you saying anything at all.pbj204 wrote:Still waiting. I think it takes about 6 months. Not sure of the cost. I never even ask.
